Born in 1757 England, Blake lived during an era of The Age of Rationalism, yet was considered to be the greatest of the mystical artists, whose artwork cannot be really catergorised. Blake's talent even transdended to his poetry, which outshone even his artistic works. A strong influence in his style was artist Michelangelo who had intrigued him with the concept of the Human body and its potential glory, however Blake had a more intense and wild heterodoxy which he infused in his own works.
